War on children

Oct 30, 2009

Unfortunately the carnage on the roads didn't end with Shula. On Monday a 6 year-old girl from the city of Rahat was struck and killed by a bus.

In Hadera, a pregnant lady was among three injured in a multi-vehicle accident. The mother was gingerly extricated and treated by United Hatzalah medics.

In Elad a 12 year-old girl was struck on her way home from school while walking in a clearly marked crosswalk.

In Ashdod a 2 year-old boy was hit and seriously injured by a passing car. The prompt response of the United Hatzalah medic on scene prevented a greater tragedy.

On Route 6 near the Nachshonim Junction a 16 year-old youth was extricated from a vehicle by the fire department rescue squad, treated by United Hatzalah medics and evacuated by the local ambulance service in an example of well-honed inter-agency cooperation.

In Ramat Gan a car skidded out of control and hit a mother while she was walking her 2 children. Miraculously the mother and one child were only lightly injured and the second child was shaken but unhurt.
